On February 17, 2026, CREA participated in the Study Day “GENOMICS AND NEXT-GENERATION BIOTECHNOLOGIES IN OLIVE CULTIVATION – STATE OF THE ART AND PERSPECTIVES,” organized by the Accademia dei Georgofili – Centro-Ovest Section and the Italian Olive Academy, in collaboration with the Institute of Plant Production of the Sant’Anna School of Advanced Studies and the Department of Agricultural, Food and Agro-Environmental Sciences of the University of Pisa.

During the event, Fabrizio Carbone, researcher at CREA Research Centre for Olive, Fruit and Citrus Crops, delivered a presentation entitled: “Genomic and biotechnological approaches for the olive growing of the future: from research to selection.”
